Did you know this about Stegosaurus?

• The meaning of Stegosaurus is ‘roofed lizard’.
• The rows of large diamond shaped plates along its back made it look bigger and fearsome but was not helpful to defend itself. These plates were only rooted in skin rather than their skeleton.
• They didn’t have a big brain. So, pea brain, bird brain and now you can include stegosaurus brain!
