complicated
memories,
like scenes
in an
uncommon mystery
dejection gives way,
reflection
comes,
and inside
we feel
that glow again, nay
fire,
burning bright,
without naught,
is alright
making sense
becomes
simpler,
holding the promise
of yesteryear
a kiss,
and a wish,
given to you, silently
whilst you slept,
nestled
so lovingly,
without notice
or a commingled
promise kept
two hearts
beat as one,
as light
enters the room,
shattering
the fragments
of loss felt
and, then
there’s
what’s left…
you
and me,
forever true,
as we finally say,
I love you
Thank you so much for reaching out to me, and for sharing my poem. I’m honored. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
